Surgical storage systems and documentation stations will broaden options for integrated surgical suites
Grand Rapids, Mich. (October 22, 2009) -- Stanley InnerSpace, a market leader in storage and inventory solutions for the healthcare industry, announced that STERIS Corporation will now be offering its modular laminate storage and documentation station options for the perioperative environment. STERIS is a leading provider of infection prevention and surgical products and services, focused primarily on critical healthcare, pharmaceutical, and research markets.
Through a distribution agreement, the two companies will offer selected models of InnerSpace nurse documentation stations and storage cabinets through STERIS's market channels.
"We have expanded the breadth, depth, and price range of our surgical storage and station offering in response to the needs of our customers," says Ward Sanders, clinical services manager for Surgical Solutions at STERIS. "We are pleased to be working with Stanley InnerSpace to provide an economical, quality alternative for design professionals, architects, and hospitals."
Through this agreement, STERIS will offer a selection of InnerSpace's most popular modular pieces and InnerCell modular accessories. These include highly versatile modular nurse documentation stations, which are designed to house the necessary audio, video, and data storage and communication equipment for an integrated operating suite. These high-quality pressure laminate units will be offered in two standardized widths and a variety of design-friendly colors. Seven modular storage cabinet options will also be available, along with the most popular InnerCell accessories for efficient, flexible storage of critical surgical supplies and equipment.
"InnerSpace nurse documentation stations offer a multitude of practical features," says Dan Schroeder, vice president of strategic and corporate sales. "For example, one tall cabinet holds most of the integration equipment, and the unit has flexible outlet, phone and internet connection capability. The cabinets are ventilated for heat diffusion and there are
multiple cable pass-through openings for easy setup. And the pull-out work surface allows a view of the surgical field."
The distribution agreement will allow the two companies to streamline sourcing for hospitals and will help healthcare providers to tailor ideal options that maximize efficiency in their particular surgical rooms. The InnerSpace systems will be sold collaboratively and serviced by InnerSpace.
